In addition to the image enhancing ultrasound technologies, the Logiq V5 is capable of producing ultrasound images for many different applications, permitting doctors to diagnose many different body parts and structures employing this system. Although it specializes in urological applications, the V5 can also produce images for small parts (breast, thyroid and testicular), musculoskeletal, abdominal, OB-GYN, cardiac and vascular applications. This versatility contributes strongly to the machine’s popularity.

Finally, the Logiq V5 is compatible with many GE ultrasound transducers. GE, when manufacturing and engineering probes, creates probes that are compatible with different types of systems. For example, the probes who’s name end in “RS” (8C-RS, E8C-RS etc.) are generally compatible with portable ultrasound systems, as opposed to the E8C, or 8C, which are compatible with the regular stationary systems. The Logiq V5 is one of the few GE stationary systems that is compatible with “RS” probes.
